Zonaira Ahmed is born from a belief that true luxury is timeless. Every silhouette is thoughtfully designed, every embellishment meticulously handcrafted, and every detail created to become part of a woman's most treasured moments. Rooted in heritage and refined through a contemporary lens, ZA celebrates craftsmanship, elegance, and enduring beauty.
The Craft
Our work begins with the hand. Kora dabka, sequins, pearls and French knots are laid one at a time onto pure sheesha silk, Banarsi silk, tissue and organza, materials chosen for the way they hold light and the way they age. A single embellished neckline may take weeks to complete, and no two are ever identical, because the hand that made them was never quite the same twice.
These are techniques carried through generations of Pakistani ateliers, and we have not tried to modernise them. We have given them a contemporary silhouette to live in.
Made to Order
Nothing in our atelier is made in advance. Every piece is cut to the measurements of the woman who will wear it, in the colours she chooses, and begins only once her order is placed. That is why a Zonaira Ahmed ensemble takes three to four weeks. It is not that we are slow. It is that the piece does not exist until you ask for it.
It also means small variations in embroidery and placement are inevitable from one piece to the next. We regard them as evidence of the hand rather than a flaw in the work.
From Lahore, Worldwide
Every garment is designed and crafted in our atelier in Lahore, then sent from there to clients across Pakistan, the Gulf, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. However far it travels, it leaves the same hands.
